Entoto Black Seed Oil

Entoto is a premium Ethiopian black seed oil created to showcase the character of Nigella sativa at its source. The seeds are carefully selected in Ethiopia, then cold-pressed to produce an oil that remains true to its natural profile.

What makes Entoto distinctive is not excessive refinement, but the opposite. Its deep colour, bold aroma and unmistakable intensity are all part of the identity of the oil itself. By keeping processing minimal, Entoto preserves more of the qualities that give Ethiopian black seed its unique character.

The result is an oil with a strong sense of place: authentic in origin, carefully produced, and presented with the quality and attention it deserves.

Excellence with Purpose

Entoto Gives Back

Entoto Black Seed Oil is built around a simple belief: exceptional products should create value where they begin.

At the end of each year, 5% of Entoto’s profits are dedicated to supporting education and youth-focused initiatives in Ethiopia, helping create greater opportunity for the next generation.

By building this commitment into the business, every bottle sold contributes to something beyond the product itself, supporting long-term progress in the country Entoto proudly calls home.

Less Processing. More Character.

We believe a premium black seed oil should retain the qualities that make it distinctive in the first place.

Entoto is cold-pressed and left unfiltered, allowing the oil to remain closer to its natural state — deep, aromatic and full of character.

This is where I’d use either a close-up of the oil itself or black seeds + oil pouring.

Excellence in Every Bean

From Ethiopian Seed to Oil

Quality begins before the pressing process.

Entoto starts with Ethiopian Nigella sativa seeds selected for their quality and distinctive profile. By staying close to the source, we can focus on what matters most: the raw material itself.

For us, exceptional oil begins with exceptional seed.

From Bean to Cup Our Journey

Cold-Pressed with Care

Entoto is extracted using a mechanical cold-pressing process rather than aggressive high-temperature processing.

The approach is intentionally simple: extract the oil while preserving as much of its natural character as possible.

The result is an oil defined not by excessive refinement, but by the qualities of the seed it comes from.

Excellence Celebrated at Origin

Distinctive by Nature

Entoto is not designed to be neutral.

Its deep colour, characteristic aroma and bold profile are part of what gives Ethiopian black seed oil its identity.

We do not try to remove that character.

We preserve it.

Trade That Builds a Future

A Product with a Sense of Place

The name Entoto draws inspiration from Ethiopia and its highlands.

The brand was created to present Ethiopian black seed oil in a way that respects where it comes from while giving it the premium presentation it deserves.

Authentic at origin. Refined in presentation. Made for an international audience.

Trade That Builds a Future

Keeping More Value at Origin

At Cavon & Co., we believe exceptional products should create more value in the places where they begin.

By sourcing and processing Entoto in Ethiopia, more of the transformation takes place close to the source instead of exporting only the raw seed.

It is part of a broader principle behind Cavon & Co.:

Create more value through trade, closer to the source.

HOW TO ENJOY ENTOTO

Suggested Use

Entoto Black Seed Oil has a distinctive, aromatic character that works especially well when used as a finishing oil.

Drizzle over salads, vegetables, dips, hummus, yoghurt, soups or prepared dishes, or enjoy it as part of your preferred everyday food routine. Because of its bold natural flavour, a small amount can add noticeable character to a dish.

For the best expression of its flavour, we recommend using Entoto cold or adding it after cooking, rather than subjecting it to prolonged high heat.

Shake gently before use. As an unfiltered natural oil, slight sediment or natural variation in appearance may occur.

Trade, Not Aid

Empowering Ethiopia Through Every Drop

At Cavon & Co., we believe exceptional products should benefit the people and communities where they begin. Rather than exporting only raw black seed and carrying out the higher-value processing elsewhere, Entoto Black Seed Oil is sourced and processed in Ethiopia, helping more of the value created by the product remain closer to its origin.

By keeping key stages of production local, we support Ethiopian processing, expertise and economic activity while preserving the authenticity and character of the oil itself.

This approach goes beyond simply selling a premium product. It reflects a broader trade, not aid philosophy — creating long-term value through business, supporting local capability, and bringing a genuinely Ethiopian product to customers around the world.
